Los Lagos is one of our favorite hotels, well-suited for families or individuals. In addition to large comfortable cabins with excellent views of Arenal Volcano. Los Lagos features a fantastic newly re-modeled spa (Fangus Spa), cold water and thermal water pools (with slides), Jacuzzi (fed by a hot spring), crocodile farm, butterfly and insect house, fishponds, trails, restaurants, gift shop and a canopy tour.

Plus Los Lagos has a unique Volcano Observation look-out.

Even on cloudy days when you can't see Arenal Volcano there is something for everyone to do at Los Lagos Resort.

Los Lagos is situated about half-way between the town of La Fortuna and Tabacon Hot Springs. It is located  on huge property (over 100 hectares, some of which is pasture land) located at the base of the Arenal Volcano. There is a trail leading to an observation point that takes you just about as close as you can get to the Arenal Volcano. (Or at least as close as you would want to get!).

Hotel Los Lagos has a number of Standard and Superior rooms. All rooms have air-conditioning, satellite TV, hot water and private bathrooms, safety boxes, a small fridge and a porch.  The superior rooms are over 50% bigger and have better views of the volcano. They also have a jacuzzi style bathtub.

In summary:

Standard Cabins - Rooms available with a double bed - or a double and a single bed -or 2 double bed. All rooms have views of Arenal Volcano, air conditioning, hot shower, c and a veranda with table and chairs. All with parking.

Superior Rooms - Rooms have 2 queen beds + 2 single rollaway beds and are over 60% bigger than standard rooms. All have jacuzzi type bathtubs and hot showers,cable TV, telephone, safety box, small fridge, patio with sitting area with a great views of Arenal Volcano.

Fangus Spa facilities are available 9.00am to 8.00pm everyday. Treatments include Facial Treatments (cleansing, aromatherapy, mask), Corporal Treatments (body wraps,  massage, mud treatments, massage, volcano rock warming), as well as manicures and pedicures.

The facilities at Los Lagos have been greatly improved over the years with a lovely re-modeled restaurant, pools, jacuzzis, gardens and other delights!

All guests are welcome to hike to the look out point to view the volcano, see the crocodiles or butterflies at any time, simply relax in the small pools, play on the slides or sink into a jacuzzi. Los Lagos is also currently making a  boating lake where guests will be able to paddle or row around while watching the volcano.
