Rio Ceste- River, Jungle, Hot Spring and Waterfall Hike
Rio Celeste is often referred to as one of the jewels of Costa Rica and one of the least visited of Costa Rica's attractions. If you are willing to take a trip off the normal tourist circuit you are in for a treat!
Rio Celeste is not like any other river or waterfall in Costa Rica! It is an amazingly colored torquiose-blue river that winds itself around the rainforest of the Tenorio Volcano National Park, The water is coloured due to a chemical reaction of minerals from the Tenorio Volcano.

In Arenal there are ATV tours. We don't book a lot of these tours and have mixed feelings on motorized activities. A large part of the attraction to this zone is the abundance and diversity of wildlife.
That said four wheelers are a lot of fun. We think there is a place for these activities and just hope it does not adversely affect the other, more nature orientated activities, via noise pollution or what have you. If you are interested in arranging one of these activities when in Arenal we can refer you to an operator who is conscious of the possible negative effects to the flora and fauna that certain activities can cause.
